Intel and HP have made the Application Instruction Set for  IA-64 public
this week.
One can download the "IA-64 Application Developer's Architecture Guide" as 
a .pdf file
or order a paper copy.  Information can be found on the Intel web site:

There are some interesting floating-point architecture features described
which might be of interest to members of this group.
