Positions at CYRIX for Next Generation X86 FPU

Hi all,

I have several FPU related positions available for the development
of our Next Generation FPU. These positions all relate to Logic/Circuit
Design with a clear and thorough understanding of the IEEE-754
Standard. Experience and Knowledge of x86 architecture is a plus but
not required. Besides the Logic/Circuit design positions, I also have
positions available for Verification and Error Analysis. I am posting
below a job description of a position I would like to fill ASAP. If

FPU Architect: algorithms, programming, error analysis

	Role: implement a C model of a high performance FPU for an
	X86 processor to verify basic add/sub/mul/div/sqrt functions. 
	Extend model to implement transcendental functions and
	all other complex x87 instructions, and verify these instructions
	as well. Develop microcode for a high performance superscalar
	microprocessor implementing algorithms developed for the C model,
	working closely with chip designers. Specify boundary case analysis
	required for x87 unit and perform error analysis on this unit.

	Requirements: MS/PhD in Computer Science with strong emphasis
	on numerical methods, or MS/PhD in applied math, again strongly
	oriented toward numerical methods.  Person must also have a strong
	programming background, with a working knowledge of 'C' or 'C++'.
	VLSI design skills a plus, but not required. Prior design experience
	a plus, but not required.
