X3J11.1 is officially dead

A letter ballot that ended Jan 4th, asked ANSI X3 members to vote on the
disbandment of X3J11.1. The final result was 28-0-0-3. That is 28 For, 0
against.

X3J11.1 now no longer exists. I suggest that future references to the
on-going work started by X3J11.1 be refered to as the Numerical C
Extensions (NCE) being proposed by X3J11.

Once again I would like to thank all those people/companies who hosted
X3J11.1 meetings. A special thanks to Cray Research for doing EVERY
mailing and to Tom MacDonald for his significant efforts as Vice-Chair.
