    There is a notational error in the program on page 228;
    {\bf then} should be appended to the first {\bf elsif} statement.

    There is a more substantive error on page 242;
    in line 3 from the bottom ``than a value'' should be replaced by
    ``than $E$ times a value.''
    The two display expressions that follow are correct.
