I agree wholeheartedly!
It seems that this is yet another case of people believeing that they
have been appointed (or allowed to self-appoint) to act as our spokesmen,
just as the big international environmental conference not long ago.
A serious concern for me is that the U.S. Army cannot officially
participate in international organizations except through well-defined
channels of which the X3J11 representative is NOT one, for fairly
obvious political and practical reasons. The new X3 fee smacks of a
decision being made by X3 that subgroup participation is to be treated
as directly involved with (X3 officer) participation in international
agreements, in which case the U.S. Army will have to drop out of X3J11.
