Kahan's comments on LCAS

This list some months ago carried discussion of the Language
Compatible Arithmetic Standard.  I do not wish to revive discussion on
it, but merely to call your attention to a provocative paper entitled
``Analysis and Refutation of the LCAS'' by W. Kahan in SIGPLAN Notices
v27, n1, January 1992, pp. 61--74, which arrived in my mailbox
yesterday.
