Feedback from SHARE to NCEG

Thanks Fred for the passing on the input from SHARE.  Do you know the
answers to the follwing quesions:

   How extensive is their knowledge of C?

   Is there any way they would ever migrate to C?

The reason I raise these questions is that at the first NCEG meeting
we stated that it was not our intention to convert fortran
programmers to C.  Rather, if C was someone's language of choice,
then they ought to be able to use C for their numeric and scientific
programming.  What do we need to add to C to give someone this
freedom of choice.
