Subject: X3T2 and LCAS
 
The following is feedback from the IBM rep to X3T2 to the IBM rep to
X3J11.1 (NCEG) that may be of interest.
 
The ballot to progress the LCAS to draft International Standard
has failed.  The editors of the LCAS have just been assigned the task
of producing a new draft that will include changes that I believe satisfy
a majority of the comments included in the IBM position that was
submitted to X3T2.  The notification section will especially undergo
a drastic revision.
