it is nicely counter-standard typing practice and thus reflects the
concept ;>

I would prefer it be treated as a single character, so > < would be an
error. 

I would read

                        a >< b

as 

                a "unordered" b

rather than seek a clute Borge pronunciation. Of course, for a modest
fee, I'm sure Victor could come up with one for us ;>
