Hola All;Big day in O Cebreiro, festival day. See the
crowd on the webcam www.crtvg.esMy
son and I were there in 2000 in Meson Carolo. We were locked in by
1:00am and were told that if we went out we could not get back in. My
son went out and left a block on the exit door hoping no one would remove
it. Luckily he was able to get back in. The music stopped at
3:15am. It was a wonderful experience. We were tired but happy
as we got on our bikes to coast on down to Triacastela. In 2003 I arrived a
day early and was not able to attend the festival but did see them setting
up for the next day. The albergue was full and you could not walk a
foot without hitting a pilgrim sleeping on the floor. As we departed
OCebreiro we met a lot of locals walking "the wrong way" on the
Camino. The weather was cool and threatening. I hope the rain
held off for them.OCebreiro will always be one of the highlights on my
Camino experience.I had occasion to drive by OCebreiro in 2001 on my way to
a wedding in Los Arcos. So I took my wife to dinner in the same place,
Meson Carolo, that I had dinner with my son in 2000, and dinner alone in
2003.Jim Allen, Seminole, Fl<A
