The Tourism Institute of Spain ("Turespana") has published an official guide of hotels and camping sites on the Camino ("Guia Oficial de Hoteles y Campings del Camino de Santiago"). The guide is available in French, German, English and Spanish and lists all the hotels, hostals, pensions and camping sites authorized by the appropriate municipal and national tourism authorities, and contains information on the facilities available in each establishment, the prices and the ranking. (one star, two stars, "Q", etc.)
In Spain, as in many European countries, the prices charged vary according to the season, (high, medium, low) and they are all listed, except for the prices cited for the camping sites which are those of the "high" season, that is, the summertime.
The guide also lists the rights of the guests to be informed ahead of time about services, prices, IVA, etc., and the fact that guests need be given a complaints form for their use,
The booklet may be obtained, free of charge, in any tourist information office in Spain and from the Tourism Offices of Spain in other countries.
Regards,
