On my first Camino I met some Brazilian pilgrims who suggested that I cover my feet with Vicks Vaporub (of all things) and use two pairs of socks: a thin one right next to the skin and a thick one over it. I did so, wearing four different pairs of boots or shoes on the three pilgrimages, and never got any blisters, corns, etc. <BR>
Also, I never took a step without my walking stick.<BR>
