My son did Mt.Whitney at age 9. He actually probably did it twice because
he would run ahead then come back to his father and uncle over and over.
When he got home, he said, "Mom, I feel lazy." I said," No son, what you

his dad and grandpa - a total of 22 miles up and down. Don't underestimate
kids! If your grandson is reasonably physically fit and an athlete, I'd
bet he could do it, though we have yet to start our first Camino, so I don't
know the route yet - we're leaving St. Jean Pied de Port on about April 30.
