lists!

All right, you must forgive me for this! But I have been working all year
on my own personal, ultimate-comfort-and-convenience Camino packing list. Here
it is! Consider it to be my report card. Weights include the plastic bags or
containers for each item. Final total is 6324 grams = 210.8 oz. = 13.175
pounds. The pack alone is about 2 pounds.

1st aid items and pills 510 grams (will
decrease)

Camera charger, batteries, electronic stuff 340

camp and shower shoes 282

Neck pillow 52 (may be dropped off list)

Personal hygiene and clothespins 556 (will decrease)

A DRESS! (parachute fabric) and lady socks 164

Jacket 344

Extra pants, shirt, socks for one day 566

Wool hat, silk gloves, goretex socks, extra socks 250

Umbrella and poncho 616

Sleep bag (microfleece) 602

"Kitchen" 52

Camera, dictionary, sunscreen, hand cleaner, kleenex, bandana (Fanny pack
stuff) 736

All books and maps and shell 598

Chair which converts to sleeping pad 656

The dress is because I got so tired of being scruffy last year. And I will
have six free days in towns. So I will enjoy looking like a lady for a bit. It
is dark blue, very appropriate for a Grannie in Spain. My jacket is also dark
blue. What a fashionable Grannie I will be!

The chair/mat is for the trail when I stop for lunch, as well as for a
sleeping mat. It is such a comfey chair that I usually fall asleep in it! And
it will be nice at the Albuergues. Sometimes I just wanted my little spot to
sit and read, think, write.

So the dress and the chair are my "secret" indulgences.

Actually, the pillow probably will not make the final cut.

It sounds good. But it does not include daily food (no problem) and water
(which is the killer).

So, friend walkers, is it a passing report card?
