As far a I know women have been part and parcel of the pilgrimage since the beginning.<BR>
There is a plethora of writings about the pilgrimage going back to the Middle Ages; many of them mention women in the Camino, the ones I know about are in Spanish and reading old-fashioned Spanish can be very daunting. <BR>
