The Royal air club of Spain and the Royal Federation of Spanish air clubs have announced a pilgrimage, by air, of the Xacobean routes and have invited other European countries. So far, France, Portugal and Italy have confirmed their participation.
The project will include sixty planes and will commence on June 28, ending on July 3 with parachutists and small gliders landing on Obradoiro square as a tribute to the Apostle.
The King, Juan Carlos, will award a trophy to the crew that completes the effort with the least errors.
The president of the Federation, Antonio Quintana, stated that he will invite the European champion of acrobatic flying, Ramon Alonso, and the Spanish gliding team, presently number two in the world to take part in what is to be a unique salutation to Saint James.
Warm regards,
