same is true in Texas. Recruiters seek waivers for selected offenders and
although a Judge doesn't actually say 'Army or jail' the Court is actively
involved in the process and their (Court's) input is sought by the
recruiters. I have been a municipal judge in Texas for the last 9 years
and have been involved in several such cases, 1st time
misdemeants. </FONT></SPAN></DIV>

agree, however, that military service and the Camino is not the same
thing. The spiritual journey on the Camino is a far cry from the journey
one takes through the military, with different results. I have made
both journeys, although the military one was not mandated or suggested by the

approval of the military people. It couldn't possibly be
otherwise. As I understand it, other states besides NY do the
