Given the events of September 2001, I was forced to cut my walk a few days short and thus was forced to take a bus from Santiago to Fisterra, but on a bright November day it was certainly a worthwhile place to go. There is a true end of the world feeling sitting on the cliff above the rocks below the lighthouse watching the Atlantic surf. The route is well marked and there are now refugios conveniently spaced so that the walk can be made in a fairly easy 3 days, at least according to those I know who have walked the distance. If you can read Castellano, you might want to look up the website for El Camino de Santiago a Fisterra y Muxia http://finisterrae.com/camino/santiago.htm as pages on the site describe the route and facilities along it.
