<P>Between Jaca and Puente la Reina (Navarra) on the Ruta Aragonese, it is always best to purchase a liter or two of water whenever one is in a town, as there are rather few towns enroute. In September 2001 it would have been a long dry trek indeed if I had not done so. Between Arres and Ruesta, the Camino does not pass through any place with a fountain or a tienda, and there are very few places to stop on most of the other days. Bob Spenger's advice is well-taken on that route and generally it is a good idea to carry at least a liter of water at all times even on the more populated portions of the Camino from Roncesvalles to Santiago and beyond to Fisterra.<BR><BR><BR></P></DIV>
