
<HTML><FONT FACE=arial,helvetica><FONT  SIZE=2 FAMILY="SANSSERIF" FACE="Arial" LANG="0">When we got to the Iron Cross (Cruz del Ferro) near Foncebadon in June, I was moved by the sacredness of the place and saddened that there was so much rubbish around the hill. I had meant to write a note about this before now. If someone is planning to be in that area, they may wish to bring some plastic garbage bags. There were pits of bottles, used toilet paper, and wrappers. There were no garbage cans. Perhaps it has been cleaned up by now . . . <BR>
