<DIV>I have been curious about the discussion about how to check a backpack for
air travel. Maybe I am missing something but my plan is to carry the backpack on
the plane and check a box that contains anything that the airlines don't like on
the plane. For example, my walking stick and Swiss Army knife. When I get to
Madrid, I will move those things to my pack and throw the box away. On
returning, I can find a box that will work the return trip since duct tape will
improve most boxes to shipping quality.</DIV>

<DIV>Is there something in this plan that I am missing? I have not done this
before but I have never traveled with a backpack as small as the one for the
Camino.</DIV>
