Hi all

I left Roncesvalles last September 6. On September 11 I arrived in Viana to find the Virgen de lae Nieve fiesta. This included 3 days where the bulls were run through the town twice a day and in the evenings there were parades, dancing in the streets and bull fights. That evening we heard for the first time about the sad events in New York, although it was several days before we were really able to find out what had happened.

On the 14th of September I arrived at Azofra in time to see a wonderful parade around the village with girls in white dresses and red sashes dancing in formation ( a young man in the middle carrying greenery) around the village. Later that evening there was a band playing in the square and lots of dancing. We were woken about 2 in the morning by the sounds of fireworks being let off.

Buen camino!

>Hi all-

>

>I'll be starting in St. Jean on the 8th of Sept. or thereabouts. Does anyone have information and/or dates of festivals, carnivals, etc. taking place along the way during that part of the year. I'll have plenty of time to manipulate my schedule a bit if needed. Thanks-
