There is a TGV station at CDG with some direct service to Bayonne (for transfer for the St. Jean local train) as well as good connections. It can be easier (and cheaper) to wait at CDG and avoid the sometimes rather tedious ride into central Paris on the Air France bus. Check the French railway website for direct trains and good connections close to your arrival time at CDG: http://www.sncf.fr

Late last year the fare to Montparnasse was 75FF on the Air France bus, and I understand that it is now 10 Euros. At busy hours, ie most of the day on business days, the ride can take well over an hour with stops at Gare de Lyon and Gare Austerlitz. If you have only a small amount of luggage, a cheaper and fast alternative to Gare Montparnasse is via RER, but it does require a change of trains, nearly impossible at some hours with luggage. Check the website for local transportation in paris http://www.ratp.fr

Both websites have an english language option.
