<P>Since I sent my message complaining about your excessive postings to you privately, I am apalled that you lack the good taste and common sense to respond to me in private. </P>
<P>As you have made the matter public, I shall state my case publicly . Frankly I am quite angry that this list serve, operated by a University and presumably intended for discussions of matters of interest to serious students of Camino topics and for the exchange of practical information on making the pilgrimage has been hijacked by new age spiritualists with endless supplies of personal anecdotes who spam the list with dozens of comments. Many of us cannot spend hours reading comments which are not relevant to our interests or to the topics for which we subscribe to the list serve. Most of us do not have the time to read 20-30 emails a day, the number I have been getting of late from GoCamino, when most of those emails are of no interest. In the past several days I have counted more than a dozen emails from you personally. If this pattern continues, it shall be necessary to unsubscribe, though I will do so sadly, knowing that in the past this l!
ist has been a valuable resource.</P>
<P>As I stated in my private email to you, if you wish to start a list serve to discuss new age spiritualism and its connections to the Camino, setting up such a list is easy and, on MSN and Yahoo at least, it is free. If I were the operator of this list at the University of Rhode Island and responsible for its content, the vast number of recent postings on matters quite unconnected to its purpose would suggest pulling the plug. </P>
<P>In future, I would recommend responding to private emails in private and responding to specific questions via private email. You accuse me of being rude and insulting. I would suggest that you look at yourself in a mirror.</P>

<DIV></DIV>>I suppose my first response to your letter was to feel shamed. But that is
<DIV></DIV>>not going to be me any more. How dare you tell me what to write or not to
<DIV></DIV>>write in such a rude insulting manner. You are free to delete my responses
<DIV></DIV>>all you want but not to tell me what to write nor are you free to speak for
<DIV></DIV>>the rest of the group either. I have posted your letter to the group.
<DIV></DIV>>Obviously you make the pilgrimage for other reasons other than new age
<DIV></DIV>>musings or dealing with grief. Good for you. I also suppose that you
<DIV></DIV>>spend a lot of your time telling other people what to do. Funny that the
<DIV></DIV>>result of all the conversations about boots and backpacks was to be told
<DIV></DIV>>(nicely) to check the archives as we were repeating the information we could
<DIV></DIV>>find there. So what is left to talk about? Truth is we can talk about what
<DIV></DIV>>we want and you can delete to your hearts content. Had you been kinder
<DIV></DIV>>about it, more tactful, perhaps I could have been the same.
