>Others have recommended the CSJ book which is great. But this web site(in Spanish) rocked my socks off. It RATES every refugio, giving them between 1 and 5 Shells (cute) and tells you what facilities are at every one - electric light or not, for instance (haven't found the ones without, yet, but I want to stay there!

I agree the consumer guide is a good website, but unless it has been updated since last September, it is quite out-of-date in parts. Based on a pilgrimage in October, it had some misleading information about albergues and did not list several new ones. Especially in Galicia, new private albergues are opening, and that guide had no information about any of them. And, as often happens, some of the highly rated refugios have become rather tatty over time. The CSJ guide still provides the most current information available in a compact form.
