There's more than a few ways to say the same thing in any language ..
The Latin per rura, per campos, per campestria and per argos all express proximately the same sentiment .. 'through the fields' .. generally a foreigner walking through your countryside. Per argos is the phrase that became associated with the Peregrino, those purposeful wanderers through foreign fields.
