Just to clarify:
There has been a "Museum of Pilgrimages" (Museo de Peregrinos) for many years in Santiago...... and absolutely fascinating too. Perhaps the message means to convey that the Museum has been moved from its erstwhile site, on a street upwards from Azabacheria square to more ample headquarters.
It should also e mentioned that in Santiago, a few blocks from the Cathedral, beyond the also fantastic open-air groceries, fish and market market (recently, by the way, highlighted in a New York Times article about Santiago) is the museum of the Galician people, which is another awesome treasure.
Over the years the museo de Peregrinos has presented many extraordinary exhibitions, with pieces borrowed from all over the world, related to pilgrimages as way back as the fourth and fifth centuries. The exhibitions of traditional and modern paintings and sculptures related to pilgrims and pilgrimages have also been profoundly impressive.
Hugs!
