The King and Queen, with the infantas Leonora and Sofia,  were watching from a nearby balcony.  
The projections meant to illustrate the saga of the Santiago phenomenon, from the "translatio" of the (beheaded) body of James the Elder to Galicia,  to the  unfathomable Camino life-presence inside all of us, millions of pilgrims, dead and alive.
The fireworks, and the projections, will be repeated for six days, until th 31st. of July.
The conception, and realization, of what is generally agreed to be the most significant of all firework spectacles ever held on a Santiago day were carried out by the Caballer firework specialists with the collaboration of the French artist Jean-Michel Jarre.
(Why isn't one surprised?)
