Good point, Howard. I hadn't thought of that. I should have - I remember a cruise/bike trip many years ago on which the leaders assigned partners to keep track of each other. If some one was missing at a stop, it was the partner's job to call attention to it. Of course one purpose was to make it easier for the leaders, but it was a  good idea that worked well. The leaders had plenty of other things that needed their attention.
