What do you think is the best time of the year to go?
My last Camino (Frances) was in autumn and it was magic.
I expect it is much colder for longer on the Camino del Norte....

The Camino del Norte covers a good part of Basque country, also
Cantabria and Asturias. You will find Asturias to be particularly
beautiful and the Picos de Europa between Cantabria and Asturias are
outstanding! A visit to Oviedo cannot be missed.  The sacred chamber
holds Christ's sudarium.

Hi all,

A book you may finding interesting and which I'm enjoying immensely!

The Basque history of the world 
Kurlansky, Mark.
London : Jonathan Cape, 1999.
This book is part culture, history, travelogue and even has some
recipes. 

If and when I have the privilege to do another Camino.....I'd like to
spend more time in the Basquelands, learn some of the language and just
wander around....and absorb the culture of the people and see more of
the countryside....

Has anyone done this? Does anyone have some knowledge of any walking
trails in the Basquelands?
