Lastly, I have never walked the Camino with anything but a silk sleep sack. Three seasons, and only cold once, at the Monastery at the End of the Universe: San Juan de Ortega. I put on a couple of shirts. The benefits of lightness & compactness far exceeded a single night of 'a bit cool'. I have a purpose-bought ultralight down bag; it's only for my Winter Camino, whenever I can arrange that.
