Glenn,
Are you referring to the airport in Madrid? If you are, than T4 is a
separate building a six to ten minute bus ride from the rest of the airport.
I did the transfer once before but I only had carry on (I don't check my
pack anymore) and it took awhile to make the change: waiting for the bus
mainly. My guess is, you will need to pick up your bag and carry it by bus
to T4. Call Delta. American has a deal with Iberia maybe they do to.
