Hello all--in response to a query about Transbagage on the LePuy Route--its reliability, etc.--I would like to verify the high quality and reliability of this service. Many (if not most) French people walking the GR 65 (the LePuy Route) made use of Transbagage, forwarding not only back packs but large suit cases and duffles to their next stop.

My husband and I did not forward our back packs, we hitched rides with the vans on days when health problems made it difficult for me to walk. The drivers were universally pleasant, accomodating and well-informed.

I understand that the service has expanded into Spain, on the French route from Roncesvalles. Based on our experiences and observations last summer, I would not hesitate to recommend the company. One must call ahead, and one should speak French, but the latter is not an insuperable obstacle.

Patricia, from upstate NY
