The Botafumeiro went up today without a hitch at the noon Mass.? A group of 115 pilgrims had paid the 240 Euros which is the standard charge when the Botafumeiro is not scheduled.

The Cathedral's spokeman, Sr. Fernandez Lago reiterated that the Botgafumeiro will fly, as usual, thirty times during Holy Years, and that any other time it will only go up by special and request from? religious or pilgrims' groups??that will need to cover the cost.? Those attending Mass, or services, at such times will not have to pay anything...., only the religious or pilgrims' groups that made the request.

Sr. Fernandez Lago emphasized that tourist ?agencies and such will not be allowed to submit any requests, but only bona fide and recognized religious and pilgrims' groups.
