Greetings,

I am an associate editor of a medieval pilgrimage encyclopedia and an
looking for serious academic authors for subjects ranging from shrines and
sites to the economics of medieval pilgrimage (anything from banditry to
markets...).

If you are interested in being published, Brill offers no cash
incentive...only the opportunity to be published and to receive a copy of
the finished product. If I haven't scared you off, see below:

An upcoming Encyclopedia of Medieval Pilgrimage out of Brill (Netherlands)
is looking for academic articles on the Geography of Pilgrimage Shrines and
Sites and Economics of Pilgrimage.

The Encyclopedia is a unique volume that intends to bring together the
latest research across all the disciplines that work on pilgrimage. As you
know, there has been a veritable explosion of interest in pilgrimage in the
last two decades, both in scholarship and practice. The Encyclopedia has
been inspired by the interdisciplinary efforts of those who work in history,
religion, art history, anthropology, and religious culture. It will be the
first reference work on pilgrimage to attempt this kind of coverage of works
from across Europe to the Near East.
