[Gocamino] Advice for a new pilgrim....

I am leaving for the Camino Frances in about 8 or 9 days. I'll be taking a
train to Pamplona and then a bus to St. Jean Pied de Port. I just have a
few questions:

1. If anyone has been in the area, what are the current weather conditions
for the first leg of the journey? I am just a little worried that there
will be snow, although I suspect it should be around 60 F, so maybe not.

2. My pack weighs around 28 lbs, which I know is a bit heavy. I have two
nalgene water bottles, should I get rid of one?

3. I am not in spectacular shape (I am relatively active) but I was
wondering if I should take it easy on the first day and stop at the new
Alburge in Orisson (half way between St. John Pied de Port and Roncesvalles)
or should I just trek it all the way to Roncesvalles my first day?

Any advice is welcome, and I want to thank you in advance for the
opportunity to share ideas and tips!

Thanks,
sam~
