Hello you all,
There is a new Website that presents the Camino Frances in about 1,000
pictures... in sequence. The captions and short narrative can be read in Spanish,
German, French, Japanese and English.
The web also shows the Aragonese Way in pictures, with captions in Spanish,
English and French, and the Finisterra Camino with captions in English and
Spanish.
The site also contains much other information that can be read in several
languages, but the number, denouement and quality of the pictures are
particularly impressive.
The e-address is:

The Santiago Cathedral's Museum, which has closed completely (for the first
time ever) for a week for renovations, will use the opportunity to further the
opening of subterranean chambers and spaces, heretofore used for
warehousing, in order to use them for the exhibition of a collection of original
Maestro Mateo's taken down throughout the various architectonic renewals of the
Cathedral. As most of us know, the original stone choir built by the Maestro
has been reproduced splendidly and is a dazzling exhibition at the Museum;
however, the pieces that will be brought forth and exhibited are original works of
the Maestro that have been out of view for centuries and centuries. While
there is no specific timetable for completion of the undertaking, curators have
been working on the pieces for many months, and it is hoped that they will be
on view by the next Apostle's Feast Day.
Next Friday, March 11, the bells of the 652 churches in Madrid will toll for
five minutes, at 7:30 a.m., in memory of the tragedy that took place on that
date and at that hour, last year, at the Atocha railroad station in which 192
people on their way to work lost their lives. Msgr. Barrio, the Santiago
Archbishop, has informed that the bells of all the churches in the Diocese,
including those of the Cathedral will also toll at the same time in communal
mourning.
The Xunta has announced that the entire province will observe a day of
mourning, and that all schools, government centers and commercial establishment will
observe five minutes of silence at noon.
Those of us so far away can, at least, pray for peace everywhere.
Warm regards,
Rosina
