Que lastima! I admire your fortitude and positivity! It's a good thing these things happen for a reason. I hope you find yours soon.  
Meantime, I know a wonderful place near Santiago to rest up. I stayed there post-Finisterre, but I'm sure it will suit your needs too: 
It's a little fishing village on the coast called Muros; you can get there by bus from Santiago. There's a little hotel smack on the waterfront called Hotel A Muradana. Try to get the penthouse or the little room just beneath; they have fabulous views of the bay, whre you can watch the fishing boats come in and out, and at about 1:30 each afternoon a troop of dolphins comes leaping and dancing along the breakwater! 
 
As you'd expect, the food is great: you get the day's catch along with a handshake sometimes from the fisherman who caught it. And the teta cheese is made right there too.   
 
Recommended with several stars.
