[Gocamino] trains Paris to St. Jean

Hello,

We are planning to take the train from Paris to Bayonne to St. Jean at the end of August. How long is the train ride to Bayonne? Is it better to spend the night in Bayonne and go to St. Jean the next day? If we do that would you advise staying the day in St. Jean and leaving the following day? We plan to go as far as Hountto the first day depending on the weather etc. Any suggestions for accommodation in Bayonne (hostel, cheap hotel)?
