I learned that sometimes hospitaleros/hospitaleras are disguised. 
Bernie the hospitalero dog had a "hospital" was 24 kilometers long and only went one way!

While I walked with him I had the feeling that Bernie knew so much more than I did about being a pilgrim.

  Sue, I loved your account in your book of your walking with Bernie.  I guess the "hospital" from which he provides "hospitalero" is that entire section of the Camino.  What great companionship...there are few things better than the seemingly unconditional love that dogs provide.
