Two notes about events in Seattle.

The first note comes too late to do anything more than mark the passing of the 100th anniversary of the St. James Cathedral of the Seattle Roman Catholic archdiocese being celebrated this weekend. Several celebratory events have been scheduled for the cathedral named in honor of St. James the Greater (Santiago).

The second event is forthcoming and just happens to coincide nicely with an article of mine about to be posted at the American Pilgrim's website (www.americanpilgrims.com<http://www.americanpilgrims.com/>) on music related to the Camino. On December 10 and again on December 11, the Medieval Women's Choir is going to present a concert of music from the Llibre Vermell (which it translates as the Red Book of Montserrat). That music has very strong associations with the Camino and is some of the loveliest music bequeathed to us by the middle ages. The concert is to be presented in the cathedral-like precinct of the main reading room of the University of Washington's Suzzalo Library, and the director is the renowned expert on medieval music, and virtuoso viola da gamba player, Margriet Tindemans. Information on the concert is available at www.medievalwomenschoir.org<http://www.medievalwomen'schoir.org/>
