  The correct spelling for the author of the book "a year in the Provence"
is: Peter Mayle and not Mahle, to be historically and literally correct

Apart from that,  he wrote some other books on France and the Luberon region
including: Hotel Pastis, Toujours Provence, Chasing Cézanne, A Dog's Life,
Anything Considered, French Lessons: Adventures with Knife, Fork, and
Corkscrew, Acquired Tastes,
Encore Provence
