Wilkinson's Egeria

John Wilkinson is a serious sholar who is deeply involved with Jerusalem
pilgrims' narratives prior to and during & after the crusades.

His edition of __Egeria's Travels to the Holy Land__ was published by aris &
Phillips originally in 1971 and republished in 1981. Nicely translated; ample
notes; lots of fantastic needed information.

If you are interested in jerusalem pilgrims, his other 2 major anthologies are
okay, although i find his most recent re-edition of __Jerusalem Pilgrims
Before the Crusades somewhat rushed and not as crisp as the Egeria work. (Aris
& Phillips, 2002)
