Madrid and moderation on this list

Dear all..
Thanks to Kathy it's clear that this list is not moderated
Self-moderation is the issue.
And that was the point I wanted to stress to our friend Rosina.

Do it yourself which is a perfect beginning for a perfect camino.

However, how often have we not seen "requests" to unsubscribe?
Communication even recently failed - and was never present- when a respected
member of this list wanted to know how it came to be that his posts were
rejected

No soul was there to give an answer.
The suggestion my friend gave was in her words:
"I know that Linda communicates quietly and directly with the members when
something appears amiss"
and:
"Then who is quietly put in his place by Linda or Maryanne when gets carried
away"

One way or another: she might be absent doing research or is away on a
humanitarian business for which she should be respected; the conclusion is
that there is no moderation and that was simply my point, which is proven.

A recent issue by Rosina states that she thinks the Gocamino list should be
the only one on st James only.
Other issues could be dealt with on list like........

May it be so that that this "academic level" which seems to be more to
Rosina's likings: "perhaps because the list is University-based it is
academically flavoured and, therefore, more traditional.  As a Collego
Professor myself, its tenor suits me fine. It is somewhat presumptuous to
think that this very list serves all and is the ultimate for St James
lovers.

It reminds me of a discussion we had some time ago when suddenly usa
citizens found out what the outside world thought about them (and moreover)
about its government). Proud to be a citizen of the USA, but pretending to
be Canadian..on the camino

I sincerely hope that the diversity between Santiago related groups will
only lead to more knowledge in every sense and that there is more than
Gocamino that might stir the earth.

With the upcoming of the gathering in St Barbara and its events these things
might change to the better I hope.
