I take it the Kodak uses AA batteries? As Pieter says you can buy 2100 mAh
batteries now which last longer (good for GPS too). You can charge these in
a standard charger although that can be as bulky as your dock. I carried a
credit card sized Casio Exilim camera last time, this HAS to be charged from
the cradle as it doesn't take standard batteries. There will, as you say, be
problems as more and more pilgrims use digital cameras and mobile phone
chargers. Refugios do not abound in power sockets.
