Digital Memory Cards

Hello Pieter and/ Jeffrey,
We have a new Kodak digital 6000 series. Is just any batttery charger as
good as the "camera dock" they sell for it for recharging those Ni-Mh
rechargeable batteries? I imagine something that's just a recharger would
be smaller and cheaper than the camera dock, which we don't need for any
other purpose. And I suppose one needs more than one of those batteries to
take along. I've been told those simpler rechargers take 8 hours or
overnight, so might that be a problem if a number of pilgrims in a given
refugio want to recharge batteries at the same time?
Thanks,
Kathy
