Sleeping Bag Advice/September Camino

Jennifer,
   In 2003 I carried a La Fuma 800 fill down mummy bag with a rating of
something like +25 degrees F and it was perfect.  Great for using like a
quilt when in the albergues, plenty warm while sleeping outside.  I slept on
a few albergue porches just to get some fresh air at night which was a real
treat.  Nice thing about the La Fuma is its price (about $US 110.00 and its
weight, around a pound plus a few ounces).  And it packs down to the size of
a bread loaf.  La Fuma makes a 600 fill that's even a bit smaller and
lighter.
    Never had trouble finding a bed (this fall I was there last half of
Sept., first half of October).  It's my guess that by late Sept. the crowds
will have decreased to a tolerable amount and you'll find beds without any
problem.
