Greetings,

...as promised: Here is a scientific treatise on the
subject of natural connection between minstrelsy and
pilgrimage, in contribution to the university list
GoCamino, with reference to popular literature and
fantasy fiction.

"Once upon a time, a long time ago, in a little
village in Gaul, where Asterix and Obelix would be
dining on a big wild swine steak, and barbecuing on
open fire, after a bustling day of spanking Romans
with menhir monolith stones, then Troubadourix, the
local bard, would feel the inspiration coming, and
as he opens his mouth for an artistic yell, sounding
like a wild swine call from an elephant trumpet,
that would be able to shake the oak and drive the
clouds together in a rainstorm, then, by some
mysterious reason, no such sound would come over his
lips, and as a peeping mouse he would proclaim, in a
voice that would not move even a single leaf on a
single branch on a single tree, and whereupon, with
the purpose to heal Gaul and to regain the lost
vibration of the bard, then Miraculix, the local
druid, would come up with the idea that Troubadourix
should walk to the end of the earth, Finisterre, and
talk to the winds from the ocean, and there catch
the fine breath for a song, and so the bard would
do, and therefore Troubadourix would become the
first first pilgrim known to man, and the first
pilgrim ever to set foot upon Spaniola Camino..."

Hopefully, this TRUE story has enlightened the
subject.
