Hello you all,
On what is an all-time record, the Pilgrims' office issued more than 7,500
Compostelas during Holy Week. While the number of pilgrims during the week had
varied, including 920 on Wednesday, a total of 1,900 Compostelas were issued to
pilgrims on Easter Sunday!

The USC (Universidad de Santiago de Compostela) has acceded to the Xunta's
request that the University buildings be opened to visitors, particularly the
historic Fonseca and San Xerome buildings. The visits may be made by making a
reservation and they will include a multilingual guide that will explain the
history and symbolism of the monuments. Those who may wish to do so will also be
able to visit modern University buildings such as the Journalism faculty that
was designed by the fabled architect Siza.
This development will surely make many of us very happy.

Warm regards,
Rosina
