Saintes Maries de la Mer

Yes, we visited Stes-Maries de la Mer, but in winter, so not much was
happening. I can say that during tourist season, which starts now, there are a
lot of people and a lot of hotels gites d'etape, & restaurants open.
When we were there, the church was open the normal hours (10-12; 2-4, or so)
and there was free access to the crypt where the relics are kept.
The town itself is just on the coast, and it is on no "direct" route toward
the pyrenees.
